As a Diesel Generator Technician with Redfield Resources, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation of our clients' power generation systems.

Job Overview:

  • Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, utilizing your technical expertise to troubleshoot and maintain complex diesel generator systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in pre-start meetings with commissioning teams to ensure seamless handovers.
  • Maintain plant equipment in accordance with client service manuals.
  • Monitor and maintain lubrication and cooling levels, adhering to strict standards for oil and coolant management.
  • Troubleshoot and correct plant operation issues promptly.
  • Prepare daily run schedules and distribute them to relevant personnel.
  • Ensure plant functionality is preserved through regular maintenance and inspections.
  • Notify clients when refueling is required.
  • Clean bunds during plant operation and re-fueling to prevent spills.
  • Operate the plant within client specifications and applicable laws or regulations.
  • Prevent excessive wear by operating within rated capacity and following safety protocols.
  • Examine the plant for damage or malfunction and notify clients promptly if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Australian-recognized HD mechanical trade certificate.
  • Cummins KTA1250 experience (highly regarded).
  • Experience in power generation/diesel generator fault finding and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
  • PowerStation operator experience.
  • Excellent HSE compliance and ability to work unsupervised.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical at all times.
