Job Description

This role is focused on advancing quality in early childhood education and care by working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop safe and quality premises for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply relevant legislation, standards, policies, and guidelines in the regulation of the early childhood education and care sector.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with developers, building practitioners, and early childhood education and care providers to ensure buildings meet safety and quality standards.
Regulatory Activities
  • Undertake regulatory activities and provide recommendations to support the regulatory authority's functions under the legislation.
  • Provide informed recommendations based on data analysis, evidence, and accurate interpretation of the legislation.
  • Identify and respond to risks in the early childhood education and care sector through risk-based decision making.
  • Implement operational policy initiatives to improve regulatory processes and practice.
  • Prepare accurate and well-written communication on matters related to early childhood education and care regulation.
