A Part Time opportunity awaits in the vibrant city of Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. This senior leadership position oversees the overnight operations of a prominent hotel, fostering exceptional service and efficiency.

Job Summary

This is a unique chance to join our dynamic team as a Night Manager, responsible for independently managing the overnight front office operations. As a key member of the management team, you will handle guest relations, conduct night audits, ensure safety and security, and provide food and beverage services.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the hotel during night shifts, ensuring all staff are adequately trained and informed.
  • Maintain positive guest relationships by addressing complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct thorough night audits to guarantee accuracy in financial transactions and reports.
  • Evaluate and improve hotel security measures through regular property checks.
  • Support the front office team in delivering exceptional customer service, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest queries.
  • Provide high-quality food and beverage services to guests, encompassing bar service, food preparation, and espresso coffee preparation.
  • Manage hotel reservations efficiently, responding to emails, taking phone calls, and making online bookings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Develop strategies to address emergency situations, such as medical issues, fire alarms, or security concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Prior experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within the hotel industry.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and external partners.
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems, such as Opera Cloud, Shiji POS, and basic accounting skills for night audits.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, with a commitment to at least two night shifts per week.
  • Professional demeanor, staying calm under pressure, and maintaining a respectful attitude towards colleagues and guests.
  • Current certifications in First Aid and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) are mandatory.
  • Valid working rights in Australia are required.
