This elite civil contracting business is a true market leader nationwide in Australia, delivering large-scale mine site infrastructure projects for blue-chip mining companies. Following a recent project win for a mine tailings dam lift in WA's Pilbara region, they require a civil Project Engineer to join their high-performance team.

About the Role

This role offers a great balance of work-life benefits, including a short 8/6 FIFO roster and a high base salary, whether working site-based or office-based between projects. As Project Engineer, you will work normal construction site hours (approximately 11 hour days) on the 8/6 FIFO roster ex-Perth. The project timeline will extend to around May '25, with additional scopes of expansion work to be completed at the minesite over the next few years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor progress of the earthworks contract and provide technical guidance to the site delivery team to ensure construction conforms to design.
  • Address technical queries and ensure QA adherence (ITPs/ITRs), manage subcontractors, and report on progress.
  • Work on bulk earthworks projects in WA's Pilbara region, with a focus on TSF projects, access/haul roads, rail formation, plant site bulk earthworks, or similar.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Around 5 years post-graduate experience as a Site/ Project Engineer for civil contractors in Australia.
  • Proven success performing the role of Project Engineer on minesite bulk earthworks projects in WA's Pilbara region.
  • Excellent all-round communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Perth/WA based with existing work rights in Australia.
  • Able to start ASAP (*or 4 weeks notice maximum).
  • Able to pass pre-employment medical, and drug and alcohol screening.
  • Able to supply 2 favorable references from within the last 5 years.
  • Clean WA C Class Drivers Licence & Construction White Card.
