Providing culturally appropriate care for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders is at the heart of this role.

As a personal care assistant, you will be working closely with these individuals in their homes, empowering them to maintain their independence while receiving ongoing support.

**Requirements:**

  • Compassionate and empathetic individual with a strong understanding of cultural sensitivity.
  • A reliable car and Australian Driver Licence are required.
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in personal care is preferred but not essential.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Perform personal care duties, including showering, feeding, and toileting; assist with oral medication administration.
  • Provide social support, such as accompanying clients to medical appointments, shopping, and social outings.
  • Assist with domestic tasks, like cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, bed-making, and meal preparation.
