We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our operations team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work in a dynamic and progressive company that is committed to helping conserve natural resources and protect the environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance tasks on plant and machinery, conducting risk assessments, and undertaking planned preventative maintenance schedules.

You will also be required to operate Depac when necessary, respond to and fix alarms on SCADA, complete reactive tasks as per defect lists, and assist with contractor and third-party asset services.

Additionally, you will be responsible for completing all logs and job sheets as required, adhering to site and group health and safety regulations, and attending training sessions both on and off-site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of plant and machinery
  • Risk assessments and planned maintenance
  • Operate Depac and SCADA systems
  • Complete reactive tasks and logs
  • Assist with contractor and third-party services
Requirements:
  • A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Engineering experience advantageous in the AD industry
  • Team worker with ability to develop progressive solutions
  • Experience with isolations and isolation systems LOTO (Mechanical and Electrical)
  • Dual skilled mechanical/electrical desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of centrifugal, lobe, diaphragm, and screw pumps
  • Able to replace shafts, seals, and bearings, pipework, fittings, and couplings
  • Confident with valve replacements and basic pneumatics
