3D Generalist Role

About the Job:

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality 3D work with close attention to detail. This role involves varied duties across all aspects of 3D build and shot management, requiring flexibility and adaptability depending on project needs.

This is a part-time, remote contract role managed by a freelance manager based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle diverse 3D generalist tasks including modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering.
  • Manage and contribute to shot assembly and preparation for TV commercial workflows.
  • Create realistic assets and environments optimized for high-quality rendering.
  • Ensure work aligns with creative direction and technical requirements of each project.
  • Collaborate remotely with supervisors and team members to deliver polished outputs.
  • Maintain efficiency and consistency across multiple tasks within tight deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Maya and Redshift is essential.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing realistic 3D work with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience producing assets or shots for TV commercials.
  • Ability to handle multiple aspects of the 3D pipeline, from build to render.
  • Understanding of rendering workflows, optimization, and shot management.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate effectively in a remote environment.
  • Availability for part-time contract work with potential variation in scope.
