Electrical Project Coordinator Job Description

As an electrical project coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating projects across engineering, production, and installation teams. This involves working closely with engineers, production teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and with high quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating project timelines and resource allocation
  • Liaising with clients and suppliers to clarify scope and ensure successful project outcomes
  • Supporting quality assurance processes, including technical documentation and drawing control
  • Developing technical documentation and production packs for workshop manufacture
  • Overseeing commissioning and site installation activities

Additional responsibilities include identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships and contribute to business growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications

You should have a qualified background in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in an electrical project or design environment.

Desirable skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience working across both technical and coordination aspects of a project
  • Familiarity with interpreting electrical drawings, preparing technical documents, and liaising with clients/suppliers
  • Exposure to site environments and a good understanding of installation/commissioning
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365, and ideally some experience with MRP/ERP systems or project tools like Smartsheet
