Pharmacy Technician Roles

GEO Healthcare is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting with the management of medications, including preparation for administration rounds, administering prescribed medication, and managing medication inventory and ordering.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and progressive service delivery environment, providing primary healthcare to men in public prisons across Victoria.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational and attention to detail skills, and the ability to work within teams and collaboratively across teams.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the management of medications, including preparation for administration rounds and administering prescribed medication.
- Manage medication inventory and ordering under supervision.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Certificate III in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician or Community Pharmacy) course or equivalent as approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work within teams and collaboratively across teams.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
