About the RoleThis is a 6 month contract with a potential to extend. In this role, you will process Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, assist with legal procedures, and provide essential legal support within a government context.
Main Responsibilities- Act as the FOI Officer, process requests, and maintain FOI registers.
- Provide administrative support to the Legal Services Team, including answering subpoenas and preparing staff for court appearances.
- Manage time effectively, setting priorities, planning, and organising your own work to meet deadlines.
- Assist in preparing legal documents across various jurisdictions, such as subpoenas, affidavits, and consent orders.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience with FOI requests in a government context and understanding of privacy law. Additionally, they should have computer skills, knowledge of Windows-based applications and databases, and ability to manage time and tasks independently.
