Job Title: Baggage Services Agent

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Baggage Services Agent to join our team at Melbourne Airport. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth handling of baggage for our passengers.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients, particularly in the areas of baggage services.
  • Implement operational delays and disruptions procedures, passenger upgrades, flow forward and standby processes.
  • Perform all operational requirements relating to departing aircraft.
  • Operate on departure control systems and remain informed and compliant with all airline procedures and systems.
  • Provide outstanding customer service standards in all activities related to baggage services.

You will have:

  • Significant experience in an airport ground handling environment.
  • Experience in WorldTracer and/or Baggage Tracing programs.
  • Knowledge of airport service standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer recovery techniques.
  • Ability to proactively seek resolution and solutions for operational and customer issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to make timely and accurate decisions with a view to maintaining optimum service levels.
  • A high standard of personal presentation as per our corporate uniform policy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in an airport ground handling environment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of airport service standards is required.
  • Experience in customer recovery techniques is highly desirable.
