A General Physician is required for a part-time position at a regional health service in Australia.
The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient care for patients with multiple co-morbidities or undifferentiated illness requiring hospital admission. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care.
Responsibilities include supervision, mentoring, and education of Registrars, Junior Medical Officers, and medical students. The candidate will also participate in the acute general medicine roster, ensuring continuity of high-quality clinical services.
Mandatory criteria include primary medical qualification registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), including advanced training, and Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
