Job Title: Senior Automation Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled automation professional to lead the design and development of process automation systems for product development and customer project delivery.

  • Oversee engineering design and development, including preparation of design specifications.
  • Develop advanced process control (APC) applications, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Design machine process architecture and control system architecture.
  • Develop and maintain standard product portfolios according to the product roadmap and create tailored solutions for customers.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of automation engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial control system standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in control system engineering, preferably in bulk material handling or mineral processing industries.
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities with experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial process control design, network architecture, and MES/ERP integrations.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA, and APC systems.
  • Experience in Rockwell and Siemens PLC development.
  • Expertise in AVEVA (Citect) SCADA development.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial fieldbus protocols and industrial instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of Siemens and Rockwell variable speed drives design and commissioning.
  • Proven experience with control system commissioning and factory acceptance testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and implement process automation systems that meet customer needs.
  2. Liaise with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
  3. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in automation technology.
