Job Summary

We're looking for a skilled Workshop/Production Fitter to join our team in Minto factory. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including mix plants, packaging lines, and palletising areas.
  • Identify and implement creative solutions to eliminate breakdowns and improve equipment performance.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Participate in projects to improve maintenance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Manage work orders and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Mechanical trade qualification (Certificate III or higher).
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with process equipment, including pumps, control valves, storage tanks, homogenisers, and pasteurisers.
  • Experience with palletising and packaging equipment, including box formers, carton closers, and shrink wrappers.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance tasks.
  • Desirable: hands-on experience with lathe machines, grinders, and milling machines; welding skills; working knowledge of CMMS systems.
