Job Title: Knowledge Lawyer

Norton Rose Fulbright is a global law firm that provides a full business law service to the world's pre-eminent corporations and financial institutions. We have more than lawyers operating from offices worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the firm's overall knowledge management strategy.
  • Establish policies, standards, and governance processes for managing the firm's knowledge assets.
  • Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the firm's knowledge management systems and repositories.
  • Facilitate the discovery, capture, and sharing of knowledge across practice groups.
  • Provide research and advisory support to lawyers on complex legal issues and practice-related queries.
  • Design and deliver training to educate lawyers on best practice, plain language drafting, and the effective use of the firm's knowledge resources.
  • Identify strategic precedent drafting priorities and create high-quality knowledge products.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and other key stakeholders to align knowledge initiatives with their needs.

Requirements:

  • Australian qualified lawyer with a strong understanding of legal research and writing.
  • Experience in drafting complex documents in plain language.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Experience in precedent drafting and development.
  • Experience in or familiarity with automation of precedents and processes.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and foster open communication.
  • Openness to exploring new technologies, tools, and approaches to knowledge management.
  • Capacity to think outside the box and challenge traditional ways of working.
  • Commercial acumen coupled with a client-oriented focus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
