As a support worker, you will work in Supported Disability Accommodation to provide person-centred care that maximises personal growth and independence. You will be responsible for supporting participants with medical needs and manual handling requirements, enabling them to shape and improve their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality care and support to participants with complex needs
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care and meal preparation
  • Supporting participants to maintain their independence and engage in activities that promote personal growth and development
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues to management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in disability support, preferably in a similar setting
  • Manual handling skills and ability to lift and move clients as required
  • A positive and empathetic attitude, with a strong commitment to providing person-centred care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
  • A reliable vehicle and a current driver's licence
