About the Role

This is a key position at an educational institution. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research and administration through course development and delivery, research outputs and higher degree supervision, quality assurance, industry engagement, student support, and related administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and research in cybersecurity with a focus on cryptography, secure systems, cloud computing, threat detection, digital forensics, ethical hacking, and data science.
  • Course development and delivery, research outputs, higher degree supervision, quality assurance, industry engagement, student support, and related administrative duties.
  • Pursuing innovative teaching, cutting-edge research, and professional engagements.
Requirements
  • A PhD in a relevant discipline, plus relevant work experience.
  • A good track record of research and publication and/or competitive research income in a chosen field.
  • Demonstrated expertise and currency in cybersecurity topics listed above.
  • Evidence of teaching and learning design, development, delivery and pastoral care of students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with positive evaluation.
  • Experience using and designing with educational technologies and flexible delivery platforms.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and organisational communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work with and support students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
