Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer

The role of a Cyber Security Engineer is to design, deploy, and maintain security solutions that protect information assets. This involves implementing industry frameworks and standards to mitigate risk, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver secure, compliant, and resilient solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement enterprise security solutions aligned with frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, Essential Eight, ASD ISM).
  • Design, document, implement, and maintain procedures and controls to mitigate threats and meet compliance requirements.
  • Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Conduct security risk assessments for new and existing platforms, recommending improvements.
  • Respond to security incidents (detect, contain, eradicate, recover, PIR analysis).

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, CEH, Microsoft Security Suite).
  • 3+ years' experience in a cyber security engineering or related role.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and reviewing enterprise security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, Essential Eight, ASD ISM).
