Position Overview

This role involves engaging with a diverse array of tax advisory and compliance issues pertinent to clients across multiple sectors. The individual will play a key role in supporting the Partners in overseeing and nurturing the growth of junior team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directing client service teams and ensuring RSM's service excellence to clients;
  • Delivering strategic tax guidance to RSM's clientele, including pinpointing and addressing tax challenges alongside the Partners;
  • Consulting with clients on mergers and acquisitions, encompassing transaction structuring and executing tax due diligence in collaboration with the Partners and other tax experts.
  • Conducting research and analysis of relevant case law and legislation;
  • Evaluating income tax returns and provisions;
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff members while providing in-house technical training to the broader team.

Educational Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, or Finance with a focus on Accounting
  • Completion of CA or equivalent qualification

Desirable:

  • Dual degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Law with a focus on Accounting
  • Master’s degree in Taxation

Required Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • 5-7 years of experience in tax advisory, with a background in Professional Services
  • Prior experience in managing and developing junior team members
  • Proficient verbal and written communication abilities
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Exceptional client service aptitude
