Master Woodworker

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at J&G Framing Construction NSW PTY LTD-Sydney. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to take on new challenges and progress their career in a rewarding industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
• Take precise measurements and calculate material needs
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to specifications
• Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Lay out floorings, roofings, or drywalls ensuring they are level and compatible

Main Tasks:

• Erect framework and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards, and verify trueness of structures
• Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door/window frames

Additional Responsibilities:

• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them as designated
• Inspect sites and conduct repairs or maintenance
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Carpentry with previous experience of 1 year in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work well with teams and independently
• Must be able to work shift work, including nights and weekends
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Permanent Residents or citizens of Australia will be preferred

What We Offer:
