Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Environmental Coordinator to join a top-tier organization in the pharmaceutical field. This role is pivotal in advancing the company's commitment to environmental sustainability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and mitigate environmental impacts while ensuring adherence to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.
  • Conduct monitoring to guarantee compliance with state and federal environmental laws; manage annual reporting obligations.
  • Support the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations and oversee permit compliance.
  • Design and implement environmental initiatives, training programs, and sampling protocols.
  • Investigate and manage Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) incidents.
  • Collaborate with governmental bodies and provide expert advice on environmental matters.
  • Maintain accurate environmental data and documentation for reporting purposes.
  • Assist EHS and Toxic Substances Committees in reviewing chemical usage and managing associated risks.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a scientific, environmental, or engineering capacity.
  • Postgraduate education in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, waste management practices, and Environmental Management Systems is essential.

  • Proficiency in computer applications and process design.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • A strong commitment to environmental stewardship, attention to detail, and teamwork.
