Life-Changing Counsellor Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor to join our team in Hedland, Western Australia. As a Counsellor, you will play a key role in delivering individual and group support services to individuals experiencing alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues, mental health concerns, or other life challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver counselling and therapeutic support to clients
- Facilitate educational programs and group sessions
- Conduct assessments and create individualised treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate case notes and reporting in line with standards
- A relevant qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Community Services, or related field, or at least five years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a counselling, education, or AOD/mental health support role
- Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practice and harm minimisation
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's licence
Applicants should have excellent communication and documentation skills, as well as the ability to maintain accurate case notes and reporting. A relevant qualification in a related field is essential, but not necessarily a requirement if the applicant has sufficient work experience.
