Job Opportunity: Professional Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional psychologist to join our team as a lecturer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and maintain relationships with agencies for the purpose of securing high quality placement opportunities for postgraduate professional psychology students.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • ">
  • Developing and nurturing links and partnerships with industry, professional bodies and the wider community">
  • Providing supervision and support to students on clinical placement">
  • Developing flexible-delivery course materials relating to placement requirements of the course, including online materials">
  • Contributing to the development of systems for assessment of placements, including evaluating supervisee competency">
  • Overseeing and fulfilling recording of placement data, including completion of internal and external records">
  • Teaching in the area of professional psychology at the undergraduate and postgraduate level">

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • ">
  • A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience">
  • Registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia">
  • An area of practice endorsement (desirable)">
  • Psiychology Board of Australia approved supervisor status (desirable)">
  • A record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design">
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning">
  • Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement">
  • Ability to contribute to communities through research">
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues">
