Job Title: Senior Tax Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for supporting income tax and broader tax matters through both compliance and advisory work across various groups.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing tax effect accounting (TEA) for various entities, including monthly TEA reporting and analysis for half-year and full-year financial results.
  • Reviewing income tax return disclosures and workpapers, monthly instalment activity statements, annual withholding statements, and other income tax compliance lodgements and payments.
  • Liaising with tax authorities in relation to reviews, administrative matters, and key taxpayer programs.
  • Advising on tax issues, risks, compliance matters, and regulatory changes impacting operational activities, contracts, systems, business processes, projects, and transactions.
Requirements and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree, CA/CPA/CTA/MTax (or equivalent), and 4-5 years' experience in tax compliance and advisory within a large corporate or Big Four environment.
  • Knowledge of Australian income tax laws and the ability to advise on and manage the practical implications for the business.
  • Strong experience with tax compliance software.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and experience in using accounting software (such as SAP S/4 HANA).
  • Experience in the energy & resources industry is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex issues and requirements.
  • Ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
