Job Overview

Support a child with a disability in the classroom or other educational settings to enhance their learning experience. Assist teachers in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and providing personal care.

Maintain student safety and facilitate access to educational programs. Reinforce learning and develop special strategies for individual students.

Operate instructional equipment, supervise students during emergency drills and activities, and participate in lesson planning.

Maintain accurate records, assist with daily living skills, and support transition activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as patience and empathy when working with students.

To succeed in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 48 college hours, or an associate's degree.

Additionally, complete paraprofessional training, CPR, First Aid, and Universal Precautions training are required.
