About the Role

Wood is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to join our Brisbane team, as part of our three-year partnership with Newmont Lihir Sustaining Capital Works program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project controls strategies to ensure the safe and efficient processing of gold across various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Provide consulting and engineering services to enhance the delivery of concept and feasibility studies, detailed design, and construction management services.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced agile environment and oversee the work of team members.
  • Build long-lasting collaborative working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for a Project Controls professional with a strong background in medium to large-scale resource-based projects, particularly in engineering service delivery and portfolio management.

Requirements

  • Relative tertiary qualification or Project Management certification.
  • Understanding of resources-based projects and experience in portfolio management of multiple packages.
  • Understanding and exposure of brownfield project delivery.
  • Ability to align Wood's strategic purpose with client/project requirements.
  • Broad understanding of project controls function across engineering or construction projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment and oversee multiple priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to create a cohesive and collaborative partnership across key internal/external stakeholders.
