About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Belgravia Leisure as a Health and Fitness Manager. As a strong people leader, you will be responsible for the recruitment, ongoing training and development of all Health and Fitness staff.

You will oversee the day-to-day management of the health club, group fitness and personal training programs, and provide leadership and direction to ensure we meet the health and fitness needs of the community.

You will deliver and drive exceptional service and a culture of innovation. The health club will offer a diverse range of group fitness classes, a highly qualified fitness professional team, relevant industry trends, and a non-intimidating, welcoming and supportive environment.

You will identify opportunities to maximise participation and develop and execute plans through engagement with the leadership team and key stakeholders. With strong business acumen, experience as a leader in the Health and Fitness Industry, and experience in delivering exceptional customer service, you will continue to drive the overall fitness experience of our guests.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Delivery of strong member engagement offerings that attract high attendance
  • Ensure all Personal Training sessions are tailored to our client's needs
  • Recruit and inspire a team of enthusiastic fitness professionals
  • Ensure up to 90% of new members are scheduled for their Begin appointments
  • Provide a quality group fitness timetable including seasonal and quarterly updates
  • Manage safe and efficient health and fitness programs within legislative guidelines
  • Ensure all health club and group fitness equipment is in safe working order at all times
  • Maintain NPS and mystery shop scores in line with KPIs adopted by Belgravia Leisure
  • Manage budgets and prepare required reports
  • Demonstrate behaviours that are consistent with the Belgravia Leisure C.L.E.A.R. values

About You

You will be a leader open to new ideas and discovering creative opportunities to get the community moving. You have experience in leading a team to achieve collective and individual targets and are truly passionate about helping others achieve their goals.

You have strong communication skills that build rapport and positive relationships with people.

Ideally, you will have at least 5 years' experience in the Health and Fitness Industry and proven experience as a personal trainer or exercise physiologist. Leading by example is a high priority, and you can positively influence and negotiate win-win outcomes. You possess values such as integrity, excellence, courage, openness, respect, leadership, and accountability.

About the Site

The East Keilor Leisure Centre includes a number of facilities that benefit many of the local community, including a 50m heated outdoor pool, a 25m indoor lap pool, a learn-to-swim pool, a warm water program pool, a spa, a steam room, and a sauna, as well as an indoor water playground for young children.

There are also multi-purpose rooms for health and fitness classes, a gym, a wellness area, a café, family change rooms, and a creche, all with a high level of regard to disability access.

As a staff member of Belgravia Leisure, you will also have access to all the leisure facilities in the Moonee Valley area, including Ascot Vale Leisure Centre and Queens Park Swimming Pool.
