As a Data Centre Logistics Manager at Amazon, you'll join a diverse team of engineers, specialists, and operations managers working together to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing infinite capacity at low costs for our customers.

You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us achieve operational excellence in our logistics and supply chain processes.

About the Role

We're seeking a motivated professional for a Data Centre Logistics Manager position. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple spare parts rooms located in staffed and un-staffed data centres. This role involves analyzing and improving effectiveness of work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop Logistics Specialists using available training programs and feedback.
  • Generate accurate inventory metrics reporting to stakeholders.
  • Develop consistent metrics to gauge employee performance.
  • Train hourly associates in required department processes.
  • Creatively resolve problems and make decisions in a highly ambiguous environment.
  • Analyze stock level reports and optimize on-hand stock levels to decrease cost-to-serve and increase efficiency.
  • Set and monitor inventory levels of stock rooms to support build and repair activities.
  • Work closely with the logistics purchasing team to maintain appropriate cluster-level stock.
  • Design and implement strategies to exceed customer expectations through continuous improvement.
  • Implement LEAN processes to improve operations.
