Risk Management Leader

As a key member of the CRO – Technology & Data Risk function, you will play a critical role in shaping the bank's technology risk management strategy. Your expertise in technology risk management will enable you to solve complex problems and exercise evaluative judgement and insight.
You will foster strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and risk partners in Group Technology, providing advice and guidance on technology risk and compliance management maturity. Your role will also involve performing detailed oversight of key risks, controls, and environmental factors, using data analysis and insight.
As a leader in this field, you will contribute to resilient business operations and strategic objectives through the adoption and usage of the ANZ Operational Risk Framework. You will identify and recommend solutions to current and emerging operational threats to business areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and fostering strong relationships with colleagues and senior stakeholders
- Providing technology and security risk management advice, guidance, and expertise
- Conducting targeted independent reviews of risk management practices and controls
- Forming and presenting opinions on risk management maturity and influencing required activities
- Conducting periodic training and awareness campaigns of risk management frameworks and tools
Requirements:
- 12+ years' experience in Operational risk and/or Compliance or related disciplines with technology and information security expertise
- Good understanding of banking processes and challenges with detailed understanding of Risk and Control Frameworks
- Experience in designing and assessing controls and assurance oversight processes
- Strong business and commercial acumen and judgment in forming risk opinions and recommendations
- Strong relationship management skills with evidence of working effectively with and influencing senior business stakeholders
