Clinical Consultant Role Overview

The Clinical Consultant will play a vital role in supporting the Trauma and Joint Replacement divisions, working closely with surgeons and theatre teams to ensure safe and effective use of surgical products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Surgical Support - Providing clinical guidance during procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes.
  • Education and Training - Delivering in-service education and product training to hospital staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Stock Management - Managing stock levels and preparing cases for efficient use.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Building strong relationships with clinical stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • On-Call Responsibilities - Participating in on-call rosters as required to provide support outside regular working hours.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • A background in nursing, physiotherapy, paramedicine, biomedical engineering, or science.
  • Experience in operating theatres or clinical environments (highly regarded).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work on-call weekends when required.
