About this Role:

We're seeking an experienced SMSF Accounting Manager to lead our team's technical aspects and drive high-quality output.

This individual will oversee all SMSF accounting processes, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations and standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SMSF accounting, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of Australian taxation laws.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical matters: Provide guidance and resolve complex queries on SMSF accounting.
  • Oversee end-of-financial-year processes: Plan, design, and maintain EOFY accounting packages and processes.
  • Drive audit efficiency: Establish and improve audit workflows for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure quality and compliance: Set up and manage a robust quality assurance framework.
  • Manage ATO interactions: Handle tax, GST, PAYG Withholding, and TBAR lodgements.
  • Oversee complex fund matters: Manage rollovers, wind-ups, and urgent cases.
  • Optimise workflows: Continuously review and adjust priorities based on due dates.
