**Job Title:** Food Services Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our kitchen team in a residential aged care facility. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, portioning, serving, and timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents.

About This Role

In this essential role, you will work closely with clinical staff and the Food Services Program (FSP) to ensure that all meals are served in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences.

You will also support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the FSP, including temperature checks, recording deliveries, and maintaining food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation, portioning, serving, and timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents
  • Ensure all meals are served in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences, as outlined by clinical staff and the FSP
  • Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the FSP, including temperature checks, recording deliveries, and maintaining food safety standards
Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised Food Handling Course
  • A current National Police Certificate (or willingness and ability to obtain one)
  • First Aid certification
