Job Summary
The Ohio State University's School of Earth Sciences is seeking a highly qualified Lecturer to lead the Geology Field Camp program. This is a full-time, remote position for the Summer 2024 semester.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct and mentor students in the Geology Field Camp program
- Develop and implement curriculum for the program
- Conduct fieldwork and lead student groups in geological investigations
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure program success
Requirements
- Master's degree in Earth Sciences or related field with prior teaching experience
- Commitment to building a culturally diverse intellectual community
- Ability to travel to Utah and be on-site for approximately 6 weeks
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Earth Sciences with prior teaching experience in field geology
