Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced Waste Management Operator to join our team on a Monday-Friday basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating garbage trucks and completing recycling collections across the Melbourne metropolitan area and out to Gippsland.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate waste collection vehicles for scheduled recycling waste collections
  • Complete pre-start checks and ensure vehicle is maintained to safety standards
  • Follow route schedules efficiently and report any delays or issues
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and site supervisors
  • Adhere to all site safety protocols, including PPE and hazard identification
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Licence
  • Minimum 6-12 months driving experience in a heavy rigid truck environment
  • Strong reliability and commitment to early morning starts
  • Driving history report required
  • Physically fit with the ability to safely enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly throughout the shift
