Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness Specialist

About the Role
Sawyer Sourcing is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tenancy and residential property management services to Koori families in Albury Wodonga.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage properties for Aboriginal tenants who are eligible for community housing
- Assist with applications, intake, and assessment of housing eligibility
- Identify and support tenants at risk of homelessness by providing appropriate referrals
- Administer the housing program in accordance with established policy and procedures and report to management as required in relation to all housing matters
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their culture, and issues that affect them today
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and manage property maintenance and administrative functions
- Prepare monthly reports for executives
Requirements
We are looking for an individual with relevant qualifications and experience in housing management, tenancy services, and community development. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are highly preferred.
