Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate HPE/Science/Maths educator to join our team at St Bernard's College.

As a Catholic educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and providing a supportive learning environment for students.

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assist students with individual and group work, and provide feedback and guidance to help them achieve their best.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to review and develop curriculum, and contribute to the school's teaching team.
  • Participate in extra-curricular programs and other tasks as directed by the Key Learning Area Leader's and Deputy Principal.

The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification with current VIT registration and demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education.

They will also have experience teaching HPE/Maths/Science Years 9 Campus and understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality lessons and assessments to meet curriculum requirements.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessments in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Participate in school events and activities that promote the college's values and mission.

Requirements

  • Teaching qualification and current VIT registration.
  • Experience teaching HPE/Maths/Science Years 9 Campus.
  • Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education.
  • Understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school.
