Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at IN-RGY Group, focusing on plant molecular biology and synthetic biology. The successful candidate will conduct impactful research in plant-pathogen interactions, utilizing a molecular screening platform to identify genes with disease-causing and disease-preventing roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research in plant molecular biology, particularly in the context of plant-pathogen interactions.
  • Utilizing a molecular screening platform to identify genes with disease-causing and disease-preventing roles in plant-pathogen systems.
  • Regular reviews of relevant literature and patents.
  • Communicating results internally through team meetings and group presentations.
  • Presenting results externally at conferences and preparing scientific manuscripts for publication.

Requirements:

  • A doctorate (or will shortly satisfy the requirements of a PhD) in a relevant discipline area.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and research experience in molecular plant-pathogen interactions.
  • Experience in applying molecular biology approaches to investigate protein function or develop synthetic biology tools/approaches.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills for effective representation.
