About the Role

As a Commis Chef/Demi Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality food in accordance with our standards and recipes. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will ensure that our guests enjoy a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present all foods according to standard recipes and as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in food preparation.
  • Display a passion for food knowledge and skills, and strive to minimize food wastage.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Audit kitchen stock and grocery lines daily and order stock as required.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • Previous food and beverage experience in a hotel/resort environment.

  • The ability to work a flexible roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
