Advanced Radiology Consultant

This is a radiologist position that requires broad radiology competency for safe, independent consultant practice. Key responsibilities include promoting medical imaging, communicating results, participating in on-call and weekend rosters, leading clinical meetings, providing teaching and supervision, driving quality improvement activities, and participating in research projects.
Key Responsibilities- Promote medical imaging services to external private referrers.
- Communicate urgent or unexpected results directly to the responsible consultant.
- Participate in on-call and weekend roster duties.
- Lead and support clinical meetings and discrepancy meetings.
- Provide formal teaching and supervision to radiology interns and registrars.
- Drive quality improvement activities within the department.
- Participate in established research projects and initiate research projects in areas of own interest and/or expertise.
- Hold a Medical Degree from a recognized medical school in Victoria.
- Hold RANZCR or RACP Fellowship.
- Be registered with AHPRA.
- Maintain good standing with your Medical Defence Organisation.
- Hold a Radiation Use Licence.
- Demonstrate competence in general MRI and general radiology diagnostic and procedural skills.
