Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cancer Care Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support, working closely with oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver effective treatment plans.

Your primary focus will be on administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, educating patients on self-care and side effect management, and collaborating with the care team to ensure seamless patient care. You will also contribute to the development of care plans, participate in patient education sessions, and maintain accurate records.

This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments according to prescribed protocols
  • Educate patients on self-care and side effect management strategies
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement care plans
  • Participate in patient education sessions and provide individualized support
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Experience in oncology and haematology nursing
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
