About the Role

Cuscal Limited is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Shared Services Domain. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Reliability Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure to support our business applications.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze and optimize system capacity to ensure efficient resource utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Resilience Engineering: Develop and implement strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize the impact of outages.
  • Lifecycle Management: Plan and execute lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, patches, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operation of our platforms.
  • Monitoring and Incident Management: Implement and maintain monitoring tools to track application performance, proactively identify issues, and ensure optimal operation. Respond to and resolve production incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring quick recovery.
  • Automation and Orchestration: Identify opportunities for automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency in application management. Implement and maintain automation tools and scripts to support our DevOps processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including IT operations, development, security, and vendors, to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of our platforms.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Support Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of production support and lifecycle management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in monitoring tools and techniques (e.g. Splunk, BMC Helix etc.), experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python), and familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
