Job Summary

Audit Seniors at RSM Australia play a critical role in client interactions, providing on-the-job training to junior team members. They also have extensive client contact, staff training, and liaison responsibilities with third parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings of significant and complex audit areas;
  • Identifies and addresses technical accounting and audit issues;
  • Reviews financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and prepares reports and opinions to management;
  • Conducts various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit; and
  • Assists with management and coordination of the audit team, including training, mentoring, and methodology compliance.

Requirements

  • Business/Commerce degree with Accounting Major;
  • 2-3 years of audit experience;
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards, and other applicable legislation.
