Key Responsibilities

As a KYC/AML Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting and applying AML regulations and internal policies to assess counterparties across a range of jurisdictions and business lines. This involves working directly with counterparties, internal traders, legal counsel, compliance officers, and finance partners to ensure seamless onboarding experiences.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Conducting background checks, adverse media reviews, and sanctions screenings; flagging and escalating any high-risk issues promptly.
  • Reviewing financial statements and assessing counterparty risk in collaboration with internal credit teams.
  • Ensuring continuous due diligence by executing periodic reviews, PEP screening, sanctions and watchlist monitoring.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive counterparty data in both internal proprietary systems and third-party platforms.
  • Enforcing the firm's AML framework and vendor vetting procedures, ensuring best practices are followed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in KYC/AML within a financial institution, ideally in capital markets or trading environments.
  • A sound understanding of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions, beneficial ownership structures, and evolving best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Fenergo is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
