Heavy Vehicle Technician Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team at Westar Trucks in Derrimut. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles, including trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with heavy vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Heavy Vehicle Technician qualification is required.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles, particularly trucks, is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and technical systems in heavy vehicles is necessary.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues are necessary.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
