Job Overview

This critical role plays a pivotal part in ensuring software deployments are seamless, timely and meet high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Release Planning: Develop detailed release plans, define scope and timelines, and ensure coordination across multiple teams.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the release liaison between engineering, testing, operations, and business stakeholders to guarantee smooth integration and deployment.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to technical failures, security vulnerabilities, and potential disruptions.
  • Communication: Keep internal and external stakeholders informed with regular updates on release status, potential issues, and changes.
  • Quality Assurance: Champion adherence to quality standards and ensure releases comply with established procedures.
  • Post-Release Evaluation: Monitor the success of each release, collect feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Automation Optimization: Work with DevOps team to leverage and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Own and update comprehensive release documentation, including deployment plans, runbooks, and retrospectives.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Building: Build strong partnerships across departments and manage expectations proactively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to enhance release processes, reduce friction, and support rapid, safe deployments.

Requirements
  • Experience managing complex release cycles and demonstrating measurable improvements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with common CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins with Azure.
  • Knowledge of database deployment practices is beneficial.
  • Comfortable working with testing tools like Cypress, Postman/Bruno, and Rainforest QA.
  • Understanding of logging and observability tools, particularly Elastic (ELK Stack).
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across globally distributed teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for building efficient processes.
