Job Overview

The Infrastructure Systems Architect will play a pivotal role in supporting an enterprise environment across offices, warehouses, and a network of stores. This is a hands-on position requiring initiative, accountability, and the ability to work independently within a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and proactively update systems and services managed by the support team
  • Develop infrastructure designs and technical specifications to support new and improved systems
  • Coordinate project tasks with Technical Leads and Project Managers
  • Provide technical expertise for core infrastructure including cloud platforms, virtualization, backup, and storage solutions
  • Ensure all responsible systems are maintained
  • Conduct training and mentoring for junior team members and maintain documentation
  • Deliver regular system reports to the Infrastructure Manager
  • Adhere to infrastructure policies and processes and identify IT risks
  • Follow ITIL-based ITSM practices; manage incidents, problems, and service requests to agreed SLAs
  • Liaise with internal staff to ensure high service satisfaction
  • Create and maintain corporate knowledge base articles
  • Rostered on-call program for BAU and project activities
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, virtualization, backup, and storage solutions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based ITSM practices
  • Experience with infrastructure design and technical specification development
