Financial Operations Manager

The Financial Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Financial Controller and Finance team in strengthening financial operations and governance in a listed company environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 direct reports, ensuring high performance, wellbeing, and support, and continuous development.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment, ensuring tasks are effectively actioned across the team to meet deadlines and departmental objectives.
  • Financial Operations
  • Manage and oversee daily financial operations, including banking and associated controls, accounts payable, partner and reinsurance bordereaux, and record keeping for benefit funds and legal entities.
  • Support the Financial Controller in maintaining an effective and efficient financial operation activity for the business.
  • Compliance
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Responsible for monitoring framework and processes to ensure compliance of outsourced financial activities.
  • Treasury and Investment
  • Prepare cashflow forecasting and manage treasury operations across associated investment activities.
  • Internal and External Audit
  • Interact with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely provision of required information and addressing agreed recommendations.
Requirements
  • CA/CPA Qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience within the Insurance industry.
  • Experience in documentation of processes and policies.
  • ASX listed finance team experience (advantageous).
