Job Description:

As a Mental Health Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across consumer engagement, community participation, and strategic communications.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our mental health engagement efforts. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing community and consumer engagement initiatives, with a strong focus on developing and implementing strategies that promote positive outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement consumer engagement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of community participation initiatives that promote consumer involvement in mental health services.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance on all aspects of consumer engagement, including policy development, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment of consumer engagement efforts.
  • Manage and evaluate the effectiveness of consumer engagement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or high-level experience in community and consumer engagement.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of the mental health sector and current trends and issues.
