Job Title: Early Childhood Education Data AnalystAbout the Role

The City of Brisbane seeks a highly skilled data analyst to drive impact through data analysis and improve outcomes across early learning services.

  • Collect, analyse, and visualise operational data across 130+ early education services.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track service-level and organisation-wide performance metrics.
  • Analyse enrolment, workforce, revenue, and utilisation datasets to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Present meaningful insights and recommendations to operational leaders.
  • Maintain data integrity through validation, cleansing, and reconciliation activities.
  • Support strategic projects with modelling, outcomes measurement, and scenario testing.
  • C coach leaders on how to interpret and apply reporting tools to their work.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive business value through effective data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain reliable dashboards and reports.
  • Analyse trends and gaps to improve outcomes for children and families.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and insight-driven decision-making.
What You'll Bring:
  • At least 2 years' experience in an analytical or reporting role.
  • Strong skills in Power BI, Excel, and database management tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data quality practices.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and visual storytelling.
  • Experience or understanding of the early childhood sector is essential.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in analytics, business operations, finance, or related fields.
