About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Specialist to join our Global IT team at Stantec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data centre environment, ensuring the highest levels of network availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support, configure, maintain, and upgrade network devices, including firewalls, load balancers, and switches.
  • Monitor network availability and performance, reviewing alerts and notifications from monitoring systems and diagnosing issues.
  • Provide timely technical support for incidents, requests, outages, and alerts, working with internal technical teams and/or vendor representatives to resolve problems.
  • Optimize the network to meet performance, capacity, and security requirements, recommending and implementing network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to ensure changing requirements and technologies are captured and communicated.
  • Assist in capacity planning, networking devices procurement, and support renewal.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Network Administration or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of related experience.
